Talk:Just Another Guy

Fiction Wikia, the place where you can write fiction.

Reminds me of the Frankenstein stuff. And is it just me or does the narrative claim to be human and then not to be?User:Serprex 16:37, 13 November 2007 (UTC)

Uh...don't know, never read. Though Frankenstein was created, while this guy wasn't. He just realized he existed at some point in time. Oh, and where does he says he's human? --Nonimportant 17:53, 13 November 2007 (UTC)

Also, this guy isn't ugly, he just naturally drives living things away. And after he becomes more initiated in the ways of mankind, he'll stop driving people away. Calm down, it still has some ten kbs or so to go! --Nonimportant 18:00, 13 November 2007 (UTC)

The part about him watching how people act was like a quotation from Frankenstein. And the misleading part was the"I'm just like many of your kind"User:Serprex 18:42, 13 November 2007 (UTC)

Well, maybe great minds think alike (eh Marie)? And "just like many of your kind" means he looks human. It's kinda obvious. Also, why can't I use search to see the size of this story!? Oh and, Frankenstein is written in the first person!? --Nonimportant 18:52, 13 November 2007 (UTC)

No, really, why can't I use search to see how long this story is right now? --Nonimportant 16:42, 15 November 2007 (UTC)

All the words are taken out of the searching, you'd have to be crazy and make it have words like ARGGZZX for the searching to not weed it out. So you'll have to find some other method of finding out such metadatas, I'll look for a size thing in specialsUser:Serprex 20:34, 15 November 2007 (UTC)

Frank had a love plot too, I wonder if this will end up like Frank's. As for the rant on actors, while I agree and have talked of it many a time, really seemed uncalled forUser:Serprex 22:21, 17 November 2007 (UTC)

First: Not love plot, more like love/hate subplot. But mostly hate. Second: Mary Shelley is seriously plagiarizing me! I think I'll read her Goddammed book and do my best to make it as different as possible. Wasn't Frankenstein all about "I'm so ugly, nobody likes me because I'm ugly, oh and I'll execute vengeful revenge on my creator"? Then how come he got a girl? Third: there's two reasons for that. It wasn't completely explained, but he thinks his job of "carrying heavy stuff" also keeps people alive. Also, he's trying to put off the ending of the story, because it's less than savoury, so he rants constantly (if you didn't notice). --Nonimportant 00:02, 18 November 2007 (UTC)

Okay intro, though very underdeveloped....

So have you read Frank yet? Either way, the whore love thing seems difficult to see working. It seems utopian in doing, she leaves all to easily. There are no debts to the pimp and she was somehow fortunate enough to not be latched to depend with a trail of drugs. Personally I'd rework that part, because that stuff has to be made strong to withstand the snarls of the ever so prominent cliche ninjas. As for the reading part, it seemed a fine enough way to quickly explain his gaining of intelligence. It was well put, so that it didn't drag while still holding substanceUser:Serprex 02:38, 8 January 2008 (UTC)

If I read Frankenstein!? No, not actually. It's not like I'm buying it, so I was going to read it on wikisource, but then I got uninternetified, and forgot about it. Thanks for the remembrance. And about the whore-love, I guess you're right. I'll make her a regular homeless beggar. Now excuse me as I go cry in a corner, my dreams shattered once again. --Nonimportant 15:52, 8 January 2008 (UTC)

Okay, lemme see. Here in Brazil, we have two nomenclatures for the pre-college teaching: Basic and fundamental teaching and primary and secondary teaching. Basic/primary being the alphabetization phase and secondary/fundamental being the general knowledge phase. I researched and apparently secondary and primary are used also in Portugal, Latin America and Spain, so I assumed it to be a more international nomenclature. Since you don't know what it is, I guess the British and their colonies scoffed at this nomenclature with their ever-present saxonic "We don't want to have anything to do with Latin" attitude. But I don't want to locate this story in any particular point of the globe (note that I didn't use any name), specially not one in a first-world country, so I won't use "high school teacher", you'll have to live with secondary. --Nonimportant 18:16, 16 January 2008 (UTC)

People always say "Thanks" and "Sorry" randomly around hereUser:Serprex 19:32, 16 August 2008 (UTC)

What is this "here" you speak of? --Nonimportant 19:56, 16 August 2008 (UTC)

This here I speak of is the here of where I am. Today I was playing a game with somebody and they said sorry after scoring. As for the most recent edit, I'm confused. It seems like such a turn. A ramble of spouting. Besides, you implied that one might be able to create energy. BlasphemyUser:Serprex 03:32, 21 September 2008 (UTC)

A believe I already addressed the high level of rantings this story contains as something that will be explained in the ending. As for the turn, what do you mean exactly? If you mean the fact that he became hostile toward her for a second, it is because he writes from a future perspective, where certain...facts that were not part of the narrative until now have already taken place (in this story I'm experimenting with a style I like to call "labyrinthine", the narrator constantly makes reference to past and future events, some of which the reader has no idea. You may have noticed, I'm fond of experimenting with different writing styles. As in TMTDH)). As for "creating energy", saying "transforming one kind into other two or more kinds, in observance to the laws of thermodynamics" seemed too verbose. --Nonimportant 18:20, 21 September 2008 (UTC)

No, it felt like a definite change in voiceUser:Serprex 21:11, 21 September 2008 (UTC)

Hmm...well, when I finish it and read it again I'll pay attention and see if anything needs to be changed. I was going to do that to 2084 once, but Yun colabbed on that, and I don't want to go changing much the stuff I haven't written. --Nonimportant 21:42, 21 September 2008 (UTC)
