Science
by Yunzhong Hou
Of the bright world under the sun
The truth expands to far and wide,
Yet what do we know but that mask
Without which we can see nothing?
What do we know of anything,
In everything's greatest extent,
For us to set above all doubt
Naked knowledge, static and cloaked?
In what way can we disprove those
Who claim the second truth of quacks,
Why ours is first and always right,
Or is our faith merely a third?
Where can be start in this wide world,
To begin to decode it all,
To affirm that our thought is perfect,
To find the method among madness?
Our greatest of gifts is our mind,
The truly endless of resources,
The spark of reason is our key
To truth's deepest, most secret vaults.
Of humankind's greatest treasures,
Wit beyond measure tops the list,
A beacon with no end of sight
To bathe our curious paths with light.
