[edit] Borders

The country is surrounded, to the east by Licida. The north gives way to a seemingly never ending wasteland unclaimed by any one entity due to the fact that it is uninhabitable. To the south lies the great Labyrinth Wall making it hard to travel eastward although still possible. Due to the wall and Licida, Arkanros suffers an almost complete state of isolation, Vang Licid was probably the last Arkanrosian to leave the kingdom, more than 7000 years ago. However Licida wasnt always there, until Arkanros fought against the Serdians the land was where Five Kingdoms had drawn there borders.

[edit] History of Arkanros

Arkanros was formed out of the Civil War in The Five Kingdoms. After stopping their former leaders attempts to reconquer them they used stolen resources to form Arkanros. Civil war began after the Certians' invasion was quelled by Northing Licid and Vraag killed the king of that time around the time of the Emergence of the Serdians and the same year as the Dawn of Ages. Northing's son, Eastling Licid stopped the civil war and pushed the Serdians back. After he was killed, Vang Licid became the emperor of Arkanros and conquered the empire that had been split up after the civil war, he then gave up his title of King, (King became the title again after the land was reunited and the country also reverted back to its former state), so he could travel farther east than anyone from his kingdom. Many more kings took over but the land remained peaceful because of Muka'mador's Serdians being thrown into disruption by Vang critically injuring Muka, the lifeline of all Serdians.

If Muka'mador ever does heal it is expected that he will send his army east to hunt down Vang.

[edit] Formation of Arkanros

After civil war in The Five Kingdoms many citizens joined together and migrated westward. These peoples were eventually to be known as the Arkanrosians. Those who remained loyal to the Five Kingdoms sent armies to destroy the emmigrants, but these armies were driven back farther and farther, to the mountains. The Battle of Mountain Desert took place, which resulted in the hanging of the five kings, an event known as the Death of the Five Kings. The Arkanrosians took all the resources from the destroyed settlements and used them to begin their kingdom, it is because of the stolen resources that the Arkanros economy thrives today, despite an almost complete state of isolation. Around 300 to 50 B.D. the Ceritians began their massive migration and began attacking Arkanros. Northing Licid defeated them and would soon whirl Arkanros into civil war.

[edit] Civil War

The people living closer to the mountains noticed a lack of aid coming toward them, really the king at that time, Genaygo was using it to build a strong fortress to protect him and the nobles as well as all resources they would need to survive pending a massive invasion by more Ceritans. Vraag soon tempted the outward citizens to rise up and attack the capital, eventually he formed an army and gained more soilders as he went. Vragg never reached the capital until in 25 B.D. the news of the Emergence of the Serdians reached the capital, Genaygo soon attempted to quell the kingdom by claiming that what he had done was now justified by the oncoming Serdian onslaught. At the year 0 (Same year as the Dawn of Ages, which was taking place hundreds of thousands of miles away) Vraag invaded the capital while the Serdians were already well into Arkanros and The Five Kingdoms were putting up their final resistance against the Serdians. In the attack Northing Licid was killed and Genaygo, doubting how safe his fortress was ran out in a panic only to be captured and tortured by Vraag. In that same year Eastling Licid saw his first combat against the Serdians and soon killed Vraag to reunite the kingdom.

[edit] Serdian War

Eastling Licid had now reunited Arkanros and had used his dead wife's assets from the now destroyed Five Kingdoms to quickly rebuild Arkanros and turn it into sheer military might. In the waning days of the year 0 the final battle was waged against the Serdians and right before the First Age began the treaty was signed and Eastling Licid was killed.

[edit] People

Arkanrosians are humans, rather similar to any other human you could find on the planet. Arkanrosians excel at two things, battle and crafting. Arkanrosian crafts are held in high regard all across the planet, even the smallest and worst of crafts can cost a fortune. The battle skill is also held in high regard, a few places have one or two Arkanrosian soldiers in their army (the few that managed to go through the wall or cross the tundra) and they usually lead the armys into battle.

[edit] Political borders

Arkanros is divided into five regions; the Central Region, the Westlands, the Forest Region, the Desert Region, and the Mountain Region.

[edit] Economy

The region of Arkanros is divided into hundreds of encaselets, relatively autonomous areas covering an average of 400 square linets. Each encaselet is governed by a principine, a kind of tribal chief. The encaselets remain economically self-reliant, although due to the diversity of Arkanros' landscape, each encaselet produces goods of remarkable difference. Demand for goods from some encasements has lead to vast riches in some areas, for instance, the muzzel spices of Cantrinil and the yergal hardwoods of Nicetheen. Trade routes between the richer encaselets are often hindered by the Bernchors, a semi-organised group of bandits who fuel a blackmarket of trade with the Serdians.
