- 50: The killing of the Wise Woman of Emotion and her daughter Loira and her son caused the others to retreat from view, while promising their children a lengthy life and help whenever they needed it.
- 50-47: Without the help of their parents, the heirs floundered, and the Union became steadily weaker, to the point that a renewed alliance between barbarian states (this time between the War, Ghoul, Energy, Vigor, and Force tribes) was prepared to attack again.
- 47-44: Another campaign began.
- 45: The barbarians killed another one of the heirs (Progos of Perception), leaving only three contenders.
- 44: Another alliance of barbarians (Health, Wealth, and Devotion tribes) joined in the sharing of the profits from a weakened Union, and this time the Union’s rulers gave way, giving the barbarians part of a city. Only Altexa of Reason dissented, but of course she was outvoted. Meanwhile, the other two (Ingolstadt and Ipsum) fell into disfavor with the citizens of the Union for being so weak. The barbarians however settled for a temporary truce.
- 44: Altexa began raising an enlarged army to fight the barbarian threat. Ingolstadt and Ipsum also enlarged their armies to face hers.
- 42: War broke out between Altexa and the other two heirs. Altexa was on the losing side until the barbarians saw their advantage and invaded the Intuition Tribe. Altexa and the third heir (Ipsum) then teamed up to save the second heir. The subjects of Ingolstadt found him too weak for their tastes, and a mob overthrew him, leaving only two left.
- 41-40: In the turmoil that followed, the barbarians invaded once again, forcing still more concessions from the tattered Union.
