[edit] The Odranoeid

The Odranoeid is attributed to Odranoel Polyhistor, a great classical Lorican poet. He wrote the epic over a decade, from 501 to 510 AD. In the Odranoeid, dates begin at 80 BD - a made-up time period known as 'before dawn' - and go on to 186 AD, which is the part of the epic that Odranoel was working on when he suddenly died a peaceful death. These times can better be seen as 220 AD to 486 AD; it was intended to be a detailed, but nevertheless fictitious, historical work.
