The Four Moons are: Olin, Ayla, Artexus, and Balum. Of all the moons only Olin and Ayla follow a set course. Olin, the god of the night, moves north to south each night. Its light is blue. Ayla makes an appearance at the changing of each season. She begins by rising in the east and proceeds, for several days, to ride through the sky shining soft green. By the time her light sinks in the west the new season has begun. Artexus and Balum appear to follow no set course. Artexus, shining silver, seems to arrive only to enjoy and improve the nicest nights, to crown great celebrations, and to bless unions. Balum, however, is a beacon of doom. His red light is an omen of the most tragic events. The Coming of The Dragons, the War of a Hundred Realms, and several other events have featured an appearance by Balum.
