Ayla is an Efini and daughter of Nature. She is the goddess of seasons and cycles. Ayla makes an appearance at the changing of each season. She begins by rising in the east and proceeds, for several days, to ride through the sky shining soft green. By the time her light sinks in the west the new season has begun. She rides a chariot drawn by five silver swans and her hair trails long behind her as she goes.
