Altexa of Reason was the wife of Eastling Licid and the mother of Vang Licid. She died of Captain Pyrus's Disease (Type Two) shortly after Vang Licid's birth, possibly at the age of 25. Through her tragically short life, she was renown for her abilities to talk sense into Eastling's decisions. Indeed, some scholars have proclaimed that Eastling's early military successes owe more to Altexa than traditional history permits. It has also been rumoured that she had an affair with Wentixa Audeline, the great political theorist.
