The Viserian was a trading vessel built in 8458. Her normal compliment was between 60 and 70 crew members. Before her destruction, she frequently traded along the coast of Karabala.

[edit] Unicorn Island Disaster

In 8465, while searching for new business opportunties, Captain Slurmansk set sail towards a point of light on the horizon in The Viserian. Upon aproach towards what is now called Unicorn Island, the sails of the Viserian burst into flame. While attempting to extinguish the fire, several other parts of the bow and foredeck ignited, spreading the fire to the entire ship.

Of the 64 crew members aboard the ship, only 37 survived the accident, including Captain Slurmansk. After days of drifting at sea, the survivors members reached Karabala.

In 8471, a new ship was built with the name The Visarian II. Slurmansk commanded this ship upon his return to Unicorn Island in 8472.
