Sylflies are pretty flying insects reminiscent of butterflies. In fact, to people in the real world, the distinction is inseparable. A caterpi can turn into a chrysalis and then into a sylfly. These flying insects are very small but have beautiful decorations and love beautiful places as well, especially the utopian environment of Arkanrosand Oraganta, where they flutter beside people in a blessed mutual coexistence.

Sylflies lay their shining iridescent eggs in small batches on the leaves of various plants. The eggs later turn into caterpii. The eggs are a delicacy throughout the Midworld, and are collected only occasionally, when a farmer encounters a batch of sylfly eggs on his or her crops. There isn't any industry centered around gathering these sporadic eggs, which may account for their rarity. At any rate, the only times they are used are during major feasts.
