Paper Trees are deciduous trees which have large leaves that may be a foot long and half as wide. These leaves are almost totally white, and are of a consistent and sturdy enough quality to be used for writing on. The first codexes were made with paper trees and were rather costly as paper trees were not that common. However, they were in time domesticated and have since then been found much more commonly, though mostly in civilized areas. Because of how pale paper trees are, they avoid sunlight and are quite small due to a lack of chloroplast.
