Mlitk is a white sweet substance derived from mlitk trees. Collectors generally make an incision into the trees, and place a receptacle under the cut, which begins leaking the mlitk. The mlitk collects as a white syrup in the container. The mlitk is then taken to cookeries, where cooks pour a thin layer of the nearly translucent mlitk syrup onto various grain products and pastries. The addition of mlitk makes food taste much better. Fortunately mlitk is rather common, and thus a major industry has grown around mlitk collection.
