The Caterpii (singular Caterpi) are tiny striped segmented bugs that live on various plants. They eat voraciously and within a few days proceed from egg status to adult status, after which they undergo metamorphosis inside a chrysalis into the beautiful flying Sylfly. These bugs generally do not consume the same plants that humans consume and therefore are generally not disliked.
