The Anyx were large horned beasts native to the region of Geugaw.

Anyx are large herbivores which stand from eight to ten feet tall, with some males standing as tall as twelve feet. Hair covers the neck and tail of the beast, while the rest of the body is protected by a thick layer of tan/grey skin which secretes a mucous layer giving their tall bodies extra protection from the intense sunlight of their desert habitats.

Anyx can go for weeks without either water or food of any kind, as their digestive systems process food over the course of about a month. This makes them the perfect beasts of burden for the harsh desert climate. Tribes of the Raa'Jul have also found the mucous secreted by the Anyx to have anti-septic properties as well as make for excellent protection from the desert sun.

Tamed early by the Raa'Jul natives of the region, the Anyx have been used as Beasts of Burden for centuries. The Great Horned Anyx, being the largest of the species, was used in such tasks as full tribal transport and violent war stampedes between rival tribes. Still, despite being a symbol of power and prestige in Raa'Jul society, the Anyx remain free to roam about their natural habitat, with each tribe usually having no more then three for general transport and protection.
