Adytum is an icy region of the Wastelands that harbors a portal to the Overworld.

Much is speculated about this land, although there has never been a survivor save the great prophet Unius of the land of Nod, who has escaped. In his journals, Unius claimed this land was a terrible prison, constructed out of illusions and memories of long-dead gods, although his journals have usually been taken as myth and fantasy, in his attempt to pander to the ruling class of Nod to reinstate his position in the Guild of Inquisitors.

According to Unius's journal, Adytum is "a place where nightmares dwell, and reality has fallen apart. I myself, being the only to escape the island, died three times, became a god, was transformed into an ocean, and went insane a number of times."

Legends say that the land is a frozen husk, and no animals or human tribes have been found there. According to rumors, the temperature is so cold that when in Adytum, the sun disappears. There is a popular story among the people of the Union, about a prince who was supposedly sent there for a mysterious crime he had committed.
