There are two types of Runic Bind:
[edit] Cosmic Runic Bind
The one instance of the Cosmic Runic Bind was during the Chaos of the Gods, more specifically, the Banishment of Nature. During this episode of the creation mythos, Zamn, angered by the fact that Nature had cursed his minions, called together the other members of the Divine Court. All of the deities present were in favor of imprisoning Nature within the earth, and they thus worked together to create the Runic Bind, named Gleipnir. Indeed, it is' made from runes, but also from various other components (all of which were used in their entirety, which explains why they aren't found in the world anymore):
- Woman's Beard
- Mountain's Roots
- Cat's Footfall
- Bird's Spittle
- ? (Component unknown)
- ? (Component unknown)
According to lore, Nature was thus entrapped into the earth, where she remains to this day, tortured by all the minions that walk upon the Midworld.
[edit] Trivial Runic Bind
A Runic Bind is a complicated type of magic but once you have it down it is easy to cast and create new spells. Runic Bind involves Runes. Runes are special stones deeply imbued with magic. Organizing the runes in a certain pattern can create certain effects.
Runic Binds follow as an application of Logos and Manos.
