Polarize is the counterpart to Solarize. It too is a cosmic-level spell.

It was used once, during the Chaos of the Gods by Hedonia. In the episode of the creation mythos, Raincloud and Whirlpool, she first extracted a promise from each of Vayrian and Lamoth to flood the world with water and drain it all, respectively, in exchange for being healed. However, Hedonia had them tricked; the two were locked in perpetual competition for this goal as neither side could accomplish its objectives while they were both laboring at these opposite goals.

Polarize came in when the two gods attempted to break their promise, as Hedonia had the Divine Court install the effect, in the form of a law. The spell effectively causes the two to continue their competition for all time. This can be noticed through the name of the spell: Polarize: to separate to two diametrically opposed forces.

Although it is quite possible, at least theoretically, that the random actions by Kaos may finally result in this spell's falling apart, it is hoped that this will take until eternity.
