[edit] Chaos of the Gods Cycle

  • In another sector of the universes, Viva and Scipios, the deities of life and death respectively, were also at war, this time for which side would gain control of the beings upon the Midworld. Both sides, however, had proven themselves to be equals, and thus neither could gain any advantage whatsoever over the other. When the fighting once again came close to extinguishing the flame of humanity, Zamn summoned upon Viva and Scipios to appear before the Divine Court, where as the only god left to do as he willed, he unilaterally declared that the two must accept a compromise, and on Zamn’s terms: Viva and Scipios would both control a dominion, a half of the Midworld, such that Viva would hold sway over some of the beings on the Midworld for a time, then relinquish control to Scipios, through death, only to gain it again. Zamn was selective with this process, and so those which were chosen to participate in this cycle were called the mortals, while the others became formally known as the immortals. Viva and Scipios had to agree, but they were also displeased, and so in exchange for this settling of terms, both demanded that Zamn also let his favorites—-the humans—-become mortals as well in a show of faith. Zamn had no choice but to comply, else he would show himself to be biased and therefore, unbalanced.
  • Zyr0 was not quick to forget Hedonia's seduction, and planned to vanquish her in his next engagement. He was not stupid, and learned from his lessons; thus, he did the same thing has he did the last time, which was to chase right after Lamoth and stir up Hedonia's worries about an imbalance of power. Hedonia thus rushed up to Zyr0, once again dressed in her most beautiful robes and bringing a horn of nectar, but this time Zyr0 only acted as if he was being seducted, and thus let Hedonia calm down.
  • Then he whisked out his new treasure--the second-largest soulstone, to which he gave the name Olin--and when Hedonia least expected such a concerted move, sucked her entirety inside it. Zyr0 then went back to Orsinius and, using his wit, tricked Orsinius to launch the captive Hedonia into orbit around the Overworld and the Underworld, just as he did to all the other fallen deities in their soulstone shards. Hence, every night when Hedonia is in her cell, Olin ascended and descended in the sky, she brought with her the alluring calm and bliss of the night, and let the wearied souls of the Midworld take their much-needed periods of rest.
