[edit] Chaos of the Gods Cycle
- Lamoth accepted the challenge, knowing that he would have to defeat Orsinius sometime soon or he would become weaker than him. Lamoth could not corrupt him, however, as he was born of Vayria and Lamoth, and thus was at a loss for what to do. Just as he called Scipios his pet deity to fight for him, Lamoth was hit by the powerful impact of the mallet. Cripped, he fled to the Underworld, while Orsinius let him be.
- Scipios knew he could not defeat such a powerhouse, so instead he deceived Orsinius into fighting Vayrian. Orsinius' slow wit was no match for the clever lies of Scipios, and he accepted the challenge. A blow of his hammer threw Vayrian into Aether, rending a terrible tear between the two planes. As Vayrian saw the gash in the fabric of reality, he realized that the pure, burning energy of the positive plane would eventually bleed through and destroy the midworld in fiery heat. Rather than save himself from falling into Aether and being trapped, Vayrian summoned the mountain Cobden into being, sealing the hole between planes with it. Orsinius was now the most mighty god of all. The others, however, plotted for his downfall.
- Hedonia, Orsinius’s twin, was the goddess of bliss and peace. Sensing a chance to settle the war once and for all in her favor, she visited Vayrian, where she healed him, on the condition that once healed he would not intervene in other cosmic goings but would instead pour his energy and fertility into constantly producing rain-—a great deal of it-—into the Midworld, thereby relieving the thirst of the earth. Vayrian interpreted this as a one-time act, and thus readily agreed.
- Hedonia next travelled to Lamoth, and healed him in exchange that he would channel his destructive energy into consuming the waters of the Great Sea. Lamoth too interpreted this as a one-time event, and so also readily agreed. However, the two gods agreed at around the same time, with the result that their actions continually came into conflict with each other and cancelled each other out. Therefore, neither was able to complete their one act, and so both were locked into this endless single act for the rest of eternity. When the two realized that they had been tricked and tried to abandon their promise, Hedonia had the Divine Court cast the Polarize upon two gods to force them into obeying their vow.
