[edit] Chaos of the Gods Cycle
- Humanity was saved, at least for now. The truce, a calm in the storm, would last a very long time, seemingly eternal but indeed having a finite end. As it turned out, Zamn's ingenious plan to trick the two other gods into the peace treaty was to backfire on him. This occurred through the presence and subsequent mischief of Kaos, the god of disorder, who although he wasn't able to do anything effectively when he really wanted it to do so, could accomplish amazing feats randomly and erratically by chance.
- In the most important of these incidents, Kaos accidentally converted Vayria into Vayrian—-that is, turned her gender from female to male. Now the carefully arranged marriage bind no longer worked, as two males could not be linked by marriage. The truce fell apart, and both sides resumed their timeless warfare.
- The Founding of the Divine Court happened before humanity began counting time--in fact, it was when humanity had just been created, and Zamn established it, with Zyr0 and Krono, to keep them from being discoverered and destroyed by the warring gods and deities. The deities agreed to its creation, as they were becoming fatigued with the chaos of the Chaos of the Gods.
- Indeed, neither side had truly respected the calm, despite Solarize. Vayria had been creating Nature, to be her strongest creation. Nature would help her in the fight against Lamoth as soon as the truce was declared over. Now Vayrian unleashed her, and the balance was suddenly in her favor. However, Lamoth also knew that the truce could not last forever, and knew that Nature was probably in the workings. Therefore, he had prepared a curse that would corrupt Nature, and now he unleashed it, much to the shock and despair of Vayrian. Nature was no longer pure, but she was strong enough to withstand the curse and remain balanced between the two sides. In effect, the two opposing sides had created yet another Zamn, something that Zamn himself was not prepared to tolerate lest it threaten his own position as chief justice of the Divine Court.
- In his second case, then, he called the legitimacy of Nature into question. Vayrian was of course disgusted with Nature's ease of being corrupted, and so disowned her greatest child. Lamoth was likewise disgusted with the difficulty of persuading Nature to join his side, and so he too disowned her (although it was not really his to disown in the first place). When the shocked Nature turned to the other deities, they all said no, as they did not want to anger any of the three gods. With a unanimous agreement, the Divine Court was able to expel Nature from the dignity of being a deity, and labelled her a demigod.
