[edit] Chaos of the Gods Cycle

  • A new deity, Orsinius, was dispatched to cleanse the battlefields after each engagement. He would take a shard of a rare rock called a Soulstone, and impregnate the fallen being with the blade of the shard, imprisoning the spirit of the fallen being within it. He would then use his great feet to kick the shards (now wrapped in a white silk so that it could not penetrate his own feet) and would kick them high into Aether, where they would stay suspended in that infinite plane and from which their glowing spirit-lights would emanate down upon the Midworld as the celestial stars.
  • In one major campaign, the forces of Lamoth managed to fight their way directly to the spaces of the Aether itself. But Tyrael's creation, the Aether, now acted as a magical space warp under his control, so that so that as the corrupted Elves and other demonic creatures ventured forth, they were summarily swallowed by this great emptiness, and were left to remain suspended in the middle of nowhere for all time.
  • But on one such engagement, the forces of Lamoth came close to discovering the presence of the humans of Zamn's creation, and thus he called forth the first meeting of the newly created Divine Court. The first case: to urge, nay, force a truce between the two combatants, in theory to bring about an era of peace but the more hidden purpose being to save humanity, Zamn's children. At that trial, only Vayria and Lamoth wanted to fight; all of their minions did not, as they had had enough and did not want to face the same fate that the fallen deities and minions had faced of being suspended in Aether. Thus, pressured by the other demigods and deities, Vayria and Lamoth were forced to come to a truce.
  • They first had it that the truce could be only words. This was until they discovered that Zamn had during his spare time used his energy to construct a binding spell. As a pact of trustworthiness, he had Vayria and Lamoth mutually parent twins: Zyr0 and Kaos, the first being the god of order and the second being the god of disorder. He then sealed the truce by using the spell that he had kept in reserve, and this spell, Solarize, forced a weighty truce to settle down upon The Planes. Vayria and Lamoth could no longer challenge each other directly, and their minions were not inclined to do so either, now that their leaders were not.
