[edit] Chaos of the Gods Cycle

  • Zamn was not sitting idly by all this time, though he did mostly remain inert. After realizing that this would become a spectacular battle, he created his own minions, the humans, from the Asset portion of the Midworld (the remaining Asset and Tessa). He could do this because he was half Vayria and half Lamoth, and thus could create and destroy equally as he wished. For the time being, however, he ordered his creations to remain in the background and stay hidden, lest the wrath of the gods, upon discovering their existence, would soon purge them from existence and into Tessa.
  • Zamn gave his minions one order: to act as historians for this celestial confict. Thus, the early humans had a nearly infinite life span, but could not mate, and did not undertake much of the affairs of everyday life that humans nowadays are associated with. Instead, they were strict and objective observers for the unfolding conflict, who would record the happenings in their oral traditions, which would be later passed down from generation to generation without modification, which came later, and thus provide a reliable source of information about the past.
  • In time, Zamn would benefit from the creation of his observers, who saw many of the events that transpired, and allowed Zamn to hold his strict neutrality. Even though the humans were not immortal, they were particularly dumb, as this was the situation of the cosmos during that time. Yet this was an advantage as well, because their collection of data was very simple and important to the future human civilization and its imposed--complexity for religious foundations. Meanwhile, the events that thus transpired also established that humanity's central reason for exitence was the gathering of information, as objective as possible, in order to make a difference in the Midworld.
  • The fighting continued for a long time, with Vayria creating many lesser deities and minions, and with Lamoth corrupting them half as fast, thereby retaining balance. After each engagement, Viva and Scipios decided to simply sit back and watch, as neither side could achieve much for long.
