[edit] Magical Beings
Magical beings are Beings that are created through the use of starscripts, not through evolution or divine intervention. They often require a caster to raise them and to support them from returning back to nothingness. They often generate a significant magic signature when viewed through Magic Sentry.
[edit] Homunculus
Beginners in the art of Miniamancy work with bulky objects. They often can't move correctly, and require additional force provided by their creators themselves to operate. Such unwieldy contraptions generally don't serve much purpose.
[edit] Zombie
The term Zombie is used to refer to a really awkward, sluggish contraption generated through Miniamancy (and has nothing to do with any concept of "undead"). It is hard for matter to be actually walking, so they must be constantly supported through starscripts to remain useful. Their slowness is often attributable to the inefficient sensing and motor systems that beginners have devised. As their creators improve their skills and learn of new ways to improve their starscripts, and as they are able to put more starscripts into a particular effort, their creations become better and swifter.

Better casters of Miniamancy are able to create Bots, which are much more efficient and are able to carry out tasks reasonably well. Very good bots have become a prized commodity in Lorican society, and are generally licensed out to customers as shareware (only some functions are activated, and the method for creating the bot hidden, so that the creator's intellectual effort is not easily stolen).

In modern times, as people's understanding of the basic foundations and details of humanity have grown to staggering amounts, those who feel that they are really up to the challenge may spend their leisure times concocting hexes that, when taken together, create a minion that closely resembles humanity. The main problem is with artificial intelligence, though generally great progress is being made, and already nearly the entire body of such humanishes have been created as entirely living tissue. Motions and senses have also been closely replicated to that of real humans, and there is much hope that someday these humanishes will actually become socially acceptable and nearly indistinguishable "brainchilds" of their creators. This goal is often considered the pinnacle of miniamancy.
