A Goran is a half man, half pig, half bear. They live far to the north, where they hibernate within huts. They are an anomaly due to their being an entity and a half. It is not very known, but some people believe that it was due to Kaos trickery that the Goran were created. Kaos made complex mathematical calculations explaining how to make a being with three halves, and, since Bushis isn't very good at arithmetic, he could not see through Kaos' flawed mathematical calculations.

They are known to have many times have more courage then they are capable of, being the creatures of Bushis. This has been shown if ever they are faced with a challenge, they refuse to decline. Mordin unleashed the Gorans in the Second Age after challenging their entire race. Goran's are the main population in the Aetes Empire
