Backstory[]
Anderham, called "Andy" by his adoptive sister Aless, is one of the three main protagonists in the story Grand Tour. He was found by the Aelf Anaxras abandoned on the shores of the city Attelith as an infant, his body weakened and enfeebled by days of neglect. Anaxras took him in as his own son, giving him a new family and a chance at life. As Andy grew, his adoptive parents, father Anaxras and mother Algissäi, noticed the green tint of his hair. Fearing what would become of him should people see, they ushered him to cover his hair at all times. The goggled aviator's cap he most often wears is a gift from Aless. For a while, he and his family were able to live as if everything were normal until the day of what they would refer to only as "the incident," in which he discovered his affinity for Majick, a taboo in global culture. Andy's storyline revolves around his turning the age 15, the age of majority where he lives, and becoming a man. The coming of age has a rite of passage culminating in a worldwide trip. At first, he is skeptical about taking the trip because of the ongoing war between Bevesta and Kahrim but is convinced by his friend Rodof that going would be in his best interest to find the family who'd abandoned him to learn more about his Majick. His friend Rodof is the only person who knows of his Majick and his hair color, and turning the same age, opts to accompany Andy in a cooperative Grand Tour.
Family[]
Andy is the youngest member of his adoptive family, and ages fastest because of his difference in race. His family consists of his adoptive parents Anaxras and Algissäi, his brother Aschion and sister Aless.
Despite their age difference (Aschion, 217 and Aless, 193), the three siblings were once very tight-knit. Things fell apart after "the incident," which prompted Aschion to flee and broke Andy, leaving Aless to pick up the pieces.

Anderham comes from the Aelven language of Aelatha. Aelves do not have last names, and their names are made of single words compounded with infixes that tell about about the personality, status or talents of an individual. Anderham means "apple boy who is about to become a man." He was named "apple boy" because it was the only food Anaxras and Algissäi fed him that he liked as an infant.
