Eastling Licid was a great war hero of Arkanros. Using his military genius he ended a century long civil war and fought the Serdians, a race so fierce it may have consumed five bordering kingdoms. Born to unknown parents on an unknown date at an unknown location he showed he was supposedly the great-grandson of the man who drove the Ceritans to extinction. It has also been suggested that he was sent by some greater power for the exact purpose of stopping the Serdians, seeing as how he was 20 when the Serdians first arrived and how it takes 20 years to cross from the east beyond reason. Joining a mercenary group his first experience against his common foe was at a skirmish along the border.

Eastling married Altexa of Reason and had one son, Vang Licid. His wife died of Captain Pyrus's Disease shortly after Vang was born. Vang was left in charge of her assets, which he gave to Eastling who used them to build Arkanros into a formidable match for the Serdians. Eastling was an alchoholic and was drunk during the more famous of his battles, including the final battle of the civil war where he charged, alone, into enemy cavalry and killed Vraag.

After studying his enemy carefully in 10 battles he finally took control of his band of mercenarys and won a battle at the Arkanrosian capital. 30 battles later the Serdians were pushed back to Licida where Eastling demanded a ceasefire.

[edit] Death

Two days after signing the treaty Muka'mador sent an assasin to kill Eastling. He was successful and was named a hero by Muka'mador. Eastlings son responded by making numerous attempts on mukas life and even killing the assasin who took his fathers life. Eastling was made into the statue at licida.
