HistoryPre-AethyrbridgeLittle is known of Aethyrbridge before the Big Crunch, as most of the information on what the native people's society was destroyed before the founding of the city. The Founding of AethyrbridgeRecords from this era are sparse, due to the Wipeout. But what is known is that the native universe that Aethyrbridge exists in was undergoing a Big Crunch. It was collapsing into itself. So, Wendell Maer designed the Maer Engine. A device that used bio-matter as a fuel source to stabilize the ever-shrinking universe. It worked, and it is assumed that construction of Aethyrbridge began at this point. It is also assumed that the last of the native people died out by no later than Year 100. Unknown Era - Year 1 - 31?Little is known of what happened here. Why not expand it? The Black Wars - Year 31?-359310 years or so after the crunch, the Black Wars begun. A renegade group of immigrants led by a man named Thadeus Black began warring with the Central Spire. The war continued for almost 50 years before Black's forces were finally eliminated. But in 359, at the close of the Black Wars, the Wipeout occured. All electronic data was destroyed. Every electron that had recorded the history of the city was destroyed, as were all traces of the original inhabitants... The Golden Era - 359 - 944The Golden Era was the era of rediscovery for the new immigrants of Aethyrbridge. With all data destroyed, a veritable rennassaince sprung up, and the rebuilding of the city began. It flourished into what it is today, a beautiful shining beacon of the multiverse. However, the Golden Era was wrought with its share of problems too. Why not expand? Now - Year 945The present is yet to be written... Chronology(See Timeline.) |
